Pakistan Promoting Bilateral Ties with Sri Lanka

The Implementation of the bilateral free trade agreement between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be greatly advantageous to both country’s and help to strengthen their economic growth.

The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is planning to organize a solo Pakistani exhibition in Sri Lanka, Colombo. The main objective of this exhibition is to promote bilateral ties while expanding trade between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

In addition, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) founded in 1980s to boost trade and economic ties in the region. The countries in the SAARC region include Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Maldives, and Bhutan.

A delegation of Sri Lanka’s tea association will visit Pakistan in the near future, focusing on the vast tea potential in Pakistan.
