5th Round of Pakistan-Sri Lanka Armed Forces Defence Dialogue (AFDD) successfully concluded on 30 April 2025.

Sri Lankan delegation was led by Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), Secretary, Ministry of Defence Sri Lanka while Pakistan delegation was led by Lt Gen Muhammad Ali, Hi(M) (Retd), Secretary, Ministry of Defence.

During the interaction, both sides reviewed the existing scope of bilateral defence collaboration and expressed satisfaction on the progress achieved under the subject matters of AFDD. They also acknowledged the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Sri Lanka relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further enhance defence collaboration.

The next round of AFDD meeting is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in 2026.
