As part of the 5th Defence Dialogue between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, Secretary Defence of Sri Lanka, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), held sideline meetings with Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Honourable Federal Minister for Defence, and Mr. Mohammad Raza Hayat Harraj, Federal Minister for Defence Production, on April 29, 2025, in Islamabad.

The meetings focused on further strengthening the longstanding bilateral defence cooperation and exploring new avenues for collaboration between the two nations. Both sides engaged in productive discussions aimed at enhancing mutual cooperation in areas of common interest.
