The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Mr. Fred Senevirathne, met Ms. Geetika Srivastava, Chargé d’Affaires of the High Commission of India in Islamabad, on 08 December 2025

High Commissioner Senevirathne was warmly welcomed by Ms. Srivastava at the Indian High Commission premises. During their meeting, he conveyed the sincere gratitude of the Government and people of Sri Lanka for India’s timely assistance in response to the recent cyclone.

He acknowledged the crucial support provided by India in delivering emergency relief supplies, facilitating rapid response measures, and extending humanitarian assistance to communities affected across Sri Lanka.

CDA Srivastava expressed her appreciation for the High Commissioner’s visit and his acknowledgement of India’s support during the recent cyclone situation in Sri Lanka.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. A Christy Ruban, Minister, at the meeting.
