THE HIGH COMMISSIONER CALLS ON THE CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF OF PAKISTAN

Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathne (Rtd), High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan, at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on 28 November 2025.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf extended a warm welcome to the High Commissioner upon his arrival at the Pakistan Navy Headquarters.

During the discussion, both sides underscored the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Pakistan and exchanged views on further strengthening defence cooperation and expanding training opportunities.

High Commissioner Senevirathne expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Naval Staff for granting the courtesy calls and for the warm welcome and hospitality extended.

The Defence Attaché of the Sri Lankan High Commission, Brigadier Krishan Gunaratne, was also in attendance.
